Norton Safe Search is a free web security program that focuses on keeping a person’s online information secure and preventing them from visiting phishing or risky websites. It uses Norton’s Safe Web Technology to rate the security of a website and warn users of potentially dangerous websites that could contain phishing or high-risk virus.
The app does not only safeguard personal data and online transactions but also examines the phone’s operating system for any threats. It also scans the Wi-Fi connection on a device for possible risks and block websites that attempt to access sensitive information or download malware. The Android app also includes features like Link Guard that protects your device from malicious sites, and Privacy Report that tells you what information apps share with other services.
Another cool feature is the capability to write reviews about the website. This feature will help users avoid dangerous websites and share their experience. Sign up for a Norton Community account and submit your website to get it evaluated. After the site is evaluated, it will be given a Norton Secured Seal. This seal will appear on the search results pages for Norton Identity Safe, Norton 360 and other Norton users.
If the Norton product is installed, such as Norton internet security or Norton 360, the toolbar that grants you access to Norton Safe Search will be automatically installed. If the toolbar isn’t working, it can be fixed by contacting Norton’s update center through the Google chrome toll-free number.
